MUST HAVE COMMERCIAL/INDUSTRIAL DOOR EXPERIENCE
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and mechanically inclined Field Service Technician to perform inspections, repairs, upgrades, and maintenance on large industrial doors and related equipment across the United States. This full-time role requires hands-on technical ability, a strong commitment to safety, and a customer-focused mindset. The ideal candidate will thrive in a team environment, be comfortable working independently, and be willing to travel extensively. CIV123
Key Responsibilities:
Perform inspections, preventive maintenance, modifications, and repairs on vertical lifting, tip-up, bi-fold, and rolling industrial doors. Use a variety of hand and power tools (e.g., drills, saws, impact wrenches) to complete tasks safely and efficiently. Interpret and work from blueprints, schematics, and electrical diagrams to troubleshoot and resolve mechanical and electrical issues. Accurately measure using both metric and standard tools . Demonstrate good mathematical abilities for measurements and calculations related to repair work. Maintain tools, equipment, and service vehicles in proper working condition. Follow standard work processes and adhere to all safety policies, procedures, and PPE requirements. Attend and participate in safety training, meetings, audits, and programs as required. Collaborate effectively with team members and customers to deliver professional, high-quality service. Support department and company goals; perform additional duties as assigned by leadership.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required; technical certifications are a plus. 5+ years of mechanical, field service, or industrial maintenance experience preferred. Strong knowledge of mechanical systems and electrical components. Strong Knowledge of Assembly Excellent communication, time management, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and remain professional in varying environments. Self-motivated with a strong dedication to safety and customer service. Ability to learn and follow structured processes and adapt to changing tasks.
Work Environment & Requirements:
Must pass government background checks and random drug screenings. Capable of lifting up to 100 lbs and working at heights of up to 100 feet using aerial lifts and fall protection gear. Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends, based on customer needs. Up to 75% travel required throughout the U.S. (possibly 3 weeks out of a month) Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in the field.
