Job Description

Maintenance TechnicianPosition OverviewWe are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to ensure reliable operation of manufacturing and industrial equipment. The role focuses on preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of mechanical machinery, electrical systems, and related plant equipment to maximize uptime and support production goals.

Key ResponsibilitiesPerform routine preventive maintenance on mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems to reduce downtime and extend equipment life.

Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair industrial machinery including conveyors, presses, motors, pumps, and gear drives.

Read and interpret mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, and maintenance manuals to perform accurate repairs and adjustments.

Respond to production breakdowns, prioritize work orders, and complete repairs efficiently to restore equipment to service.

Perform welding, fabrication, and mechanical alignment as required to maintain and modify equipment.

Install, test, and maintain sensors, actuators, and basic PLC controls in collaboration with controls technicians.

Maintain accurate maintenance logs, parts inventory, and documentation of repairs and preventive activities in the CMMS.Collaborate with production, engineering, and safety teams to identify and implement equipment improvements and reliability projects.

Follow all safety policies, lockout/tagout procedures, and comply with environmental and regulatory requirements.

QualificationsMinimum 3+ years of hands-on experience in manufacturing or industrial maintenance supporting mechanical machinery.

Proven skills troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.

Familiarity with basic PLCs, sensors, and motor controls; ability to work with electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.

Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and maintenance manuals.

Experience with welding and basic fabrication is a plus.

Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with standing, lifting, and climbing; able to work flexible shifts as required.

Commitment to safety, adherence to lockout/tagout procedures, and knowledge of regulatory compliance in industrial settings.
