Complies with protocols and documentation as related to OSHA and food safety. Provide technical knowledge and service, install, and maintain the electrical/mechanical needs of the plant. Performs preventive maintenance on plant equipment to keep in good running order. Troubleshoot problems, recommend, and perform mechanical repairs to minimize downtime. Work collaboratively with Operations Team to share knowledge and contribute to a Continuous Improvement environment.
Protect the company's investment in machinery and equipment by exercising proper care, skill and knowledge in the use of Company investments.
General Knowledge and SkillsFamiliarity of CMMS for completion of work orders,maintainingrecords of repairs, calibrations, and tests.
Utilize technical materials such as equipment manuals, SDS, safety materials, system drawings, process, and instrument Diagrams (P&ID's),schematicsand blueprints to troubleshoot andmaintainsystems.
Read and interpret electrical and electronic drawings, schematics, blueprints, engineeringdrawingsand sketches todetermineproblemand makeappropriate repairs.
Performs all duties in compliance with plant rules and practices safety, conduct, sanitation, and good housekeeping.
Capableto workfrom ladders, and scaffolding in a safe manner.
Capable of operating Powered Industrial Vehicles (PIV) (fork truck, aerial lift, etc.) Willing to be certified through Bright Farms TrainingWork efficiently and effectively with minimal supervision in a team environment.
Duties/ResponsibilitiesPerform automated and non-automated equipment and system repairs (electrical, mechanical, plumbing).Perform required preventative maintenance tasks for automated and non-automated equipment.
Diagnose cause of electrical or mechanical malfunction or failure of equipment or systems.
Repairs or replaces defective components.
Experienced in the use of electrical diagnostic equipment such as multimeters, amp clamps and meggers to test electrical circuits and components tolocateshorts, faulty connections, defective parts and replaces or repairs to suite.
Disassemblesreplacesorrepairsmechanical and electrical components.
Must be competent to make electrical/mechanical diagnostic evaluation and prescribe corrective action.
Troubleshoots and repairs electrical/mechanical problems in automated and non-automated systems.
Installs,calibratesandrepairprocess instruments.
Participate in efforts to improve existing equipment and systems to reduce safety issues, improve process flow, and reduce downtime.
Must be knowledgeable with basic electronic control devices. Provide technicalassistanceand resolution when electrical problems areencountered.
Assemble andmaintainelectrical and electronic systems according to engineering data and knowledge of electrical principles, using hand tools and measuring instruments.
Install andmaintainelectrical control systems and equipment.
Maintain electrical, parts, assemblies, and systems to correct functional deviations.
Analyze and interpret information to resolve operating or design-related problems.
Evaluate andutilizeshop electrical drawings for sound electrical troubleshooting practice.
Know and understandmethodandsequenceof operations for troubleshooting and testing equipment.
Mustbe able to work overtime,ifrequired.
QualificationsHigh School diploma or GED2-4 years of trade school, or equivalent military/work experience3-5years of experience in equipment maintenance, or machine operationUnderstanding oftypical industrial electrical systems, including DC voltage and AC voltage from 24V to 480V.Ability to work any shift, weekends, and holidays asrequired.

Working conditions / Environment / Travel / Schedule requiredGreenhouse/Outside/Coolers/Office. Maintenance will have exposure to seasonal conditions which may range from extreme heat and humidity in the summer to cold in the winter. They will often work near moving mechanical parts including in the vicinity of high noise environments.
Physical requirementsWhile performing the duties of this job, employees are expected to use hands to finger, handle or feel. They will be frequently standing, walking, reaching with hands and arms, as well as stooping, kneeling, crouching, and climbing. The lifting requirements to lift up to 50 pounds. The employee should have clear correctable vision at close and distance range, as well as peripheral vision to notice safety hazards.
