Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a proactive and skilled Hotel Maintenance Technician to ensure the seamless operation and upkeep of our hotel facilities. In this energetic role, you will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting a wide range of building systems and equipment. Your expertise will help create a safe, comfortable, and welcoming environment for guests and staff alike. Responsibilities Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical equipment, and building interior components to ensure optimal functionality. Troubleshoot and repair electrical issues using schematics, electrical equipment repair techniques, and tools such as ohmmeters. Conduct plumbing system maintenance and repairs, including pipe repairs, fixture replacements, and leak detection. Utilize hand tools, welding equipment, and carpentry skills to carry out repairs on facilities infrastructure. Maintain facilities equipment including elevators, lighting systems, HVAC units, and other mechanical systems with precision. Follow safety protocols while working with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), electrical systems, and mechanical components to prevent hazards. Complete maintenance painting projects and interior repairs to uphold the aesthetic standards of the hotel environment. Read schematics and technical manuals to accurately diagnose issues and execute repairs efficiently. Lead small maintenance teams or coordinate with external contractors for specialized repairs when necessary. Keep detailed records of maintenance activities, inspections, repairs, and parts inventory to support operational transparency. Skills Strong mechanical knowledge combined with experience in building interior maintenance and facilities upkeep. Proficiency in electrical work including electrical system repair, troubleshooting with schematics, and use of electrical testing tools like ohmmeters. Skilled in plumbing system maintenance and repair with an understanding of plumbing codes and safety standards. Experience working with HVAC systems—repairing units, replacing filters, troubleshooting thermostats—and knowledge of HVAC system repair techniques. Ability to operate hand tools effectively; welding skills are a plus for metal repairs or fabrication tasks. Knowledge of maintenance painting techniques for residential or commercial interiors to enhance aesthetic appeal. Ability to read schematics accurately for electrical or mechanical troubleshooting purposes. Experience with maintenance, repair & operations (MRO) procedures ensuring all equipment functions reliably.
