JOB DESCRIPTION
Suzanna's Kitchen is a medium sized manufacturer with two facilities and growing in national distribution of fully cooked/frozen food products in Norcross, GA (North Metro Atlanta area). We need an experienced maintenance mechanic for 2nd shift .
RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for performing electrical, instrumentation, and mechanical activities for Suzanna's Kitchen. Activities include but are not limited to performing troubleshooting, preventative and corrective maintenance on a variety of production equipment while maintaining GMP standards. This position must perform these duties in a safe, productive and cost-effective manner while maintaining compliance with health and regulatory (USDA, OSHA, EPA, Etc.) requirements. The specific duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, the following: Experience with OSHA General Industry including but not limited to Lockout/Tagout, Line break, Hot Work Permits, Confined Space, Fall Protection, Respiratory Protection Arc Flash and PPE. Good documentation skills to ensure compliance with internal and external regulatory requirements.
Experience preferred in:
preventative maintenance best practices, mechanical reliability, pumps (including but not limited to centrifugal, chemical metering, positive displacement), valves (including but not limited to butterfly, ball, needle, pneumatic, and hydraulic), piping (including but not limited to PVC, stainless steel, carbon steel), ammonia refrigeration systems (not required), compressed air systems, hydraulic systems, variable frequency drives, PLC, HMI, packaging equipment and conveyors.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
High School or GED graduate. Must have a firmly demonstrated commitment to safety, with strong mechanical skills. Must provide hand tools required to perform work. Must demonstrate a style of participative problem solving and continuous improvement. Must possess good communication skills - written and oral, with the ability to effectively interface with others.
