Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Garage Door Installer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of garage doors and related hardware. Your expertise will ensure that each installation meets safety standards, building codes, and customer expectations. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, utilize your mechanical skills, and deliver exceptional service to our clients. Duties Install new garage doors, including door panels, tracks, springs, openers, and hardware components with precision and care Perform repairs and maintenance on existing garage doors, addressing issues such as broken springs, malfunctioning openers, or damaged panels Interpret technical drawings and blueprints to accurately assemble and install door systems according to specifications Use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other construction tools efficiently and safely during installations and repairs Ensure all work complies with local building codes, safety regulations, and company standards Conduct heavy lifting of doors and parts safely while maintaining proper posture and technique Collaborate with clients to understand their needs, provide expert advice on door options, and ensure customer satisfaction throughout the process Skills Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in door installation, repair, and maintenance Proficiency in glass installation, fixture installation, caulking, and frame carpentry techniques Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and interpreting technical drawings or schematics Construction site experience with metal stud framing, remodeling projects, and building code compliance Knowledge of electrical work related to garage door openers and safety sensors Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with clients Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while working at heights or in confined spaces Experience with locksmithing or handyman tasks is a plus for versatile project support Join our team if you're passionate about construction work, enjoy hands-on projects, and take pride in delivering quality craftsmanship. Pay:
$20.00 - $28.00 per hour Expected hours: 60.0 per week
