Job Description
One of our clients is currently seeking a maintenance tech. They are seeking a reliable and skilled Night Shift Maintenance Technician to support our meat processing facility. In this role, you will help ensure that all equipment and systems operate safely and efficiently during overnight production hours. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, safety-focused, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, temperature-controlled environment. Key Responsibilities Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of processing equipment such as conveyors, grinders, slicers, and packaging machines Conduct preventative maintenance to reduce downtime and maintain equipment performance Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and production issues during the shift Maintain and repair electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical systems Complete maintenance logs, work orders, and required documentation accurately Follow all safety, food safety (USDA/FDA), and sanitation procedures Assist with equipment installation, upgrades, and continuous improvement projects Collaborate with production staff to support operational goals Qualifications High school diploma or GED required; technical certification or trade school preferred At least 2 years of industrial maintenance experience (food or meat processing preferred) Strong mechanical aptitude and basic electrical troubleshooting skills Familiarity with PLCs, motors, gearboxes, and industrial systems is a plus Ability to read technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics Comfortable working in cold, wet, and fast-paced environments Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand or walk for extended periods Willingness to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed Work Environment Refrigerated production areas typically ranging from 32°F to 45°F Exposure to raw meat products and cleaning chemicals Strict adherence to PPE and sanitation requirements Comprehensive benefits package including (but limited to) health, dental, vision and 401k#JDP
