Job Overview We are seeking a proactive and skilled Maintenance Technician, Facilities, to ensure the optimal operation and upkeep of our building infrastructure and equipment. Responsibilities Perform preventive maintenance on facilities equipment including HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical systems, and mechanical components to ensure continuous operation. Troubleshoot and repair electrical equipment using schematics, electrical work techniques, and tools such as ohmmeters. Conduct HVAC system repairs and maintenance to maintain optimal climate control within the facility. Utilize hand tools and power tools for carpentry, painting, plumbing repairs, and general maintenance tasks. Read and interpret schematics and technical manuals to diagnose issues accurately and execute repairs efficiently. Maintain building interior by performing maintenance painting, carpentry repairs, and facilities upkeep to uphold safety standards and aesthetic quality. Lead or assist with maintenance projects involving programmable logic controllers (PLCs), or electrical equipment repair as needed. Ensure compliance with safety protocols during all maintenance activities while providing excellent customer service to internal teams.

Requirements Required:

Valid HVAC Certification. Proven experience in facilities maintenance, building repairs, or a related field. Hands-on knowledge of custodial standards and specialized floor care techniques. Valid Driver's License with a reliable transportation record. Strong time-management skills and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.

Preferred:

Experience in a school, campus, or institutional setting. Proven experience in facilities maintenance or related roles with a comprehensive understanding of mechanical systems, electrical work, plumbing, HVAC repair, and building interior maintenance. Strong knowledge of schematics, electrical equipment repair, plumbing system maintenance and repair, HVAC systems including troubleshooting and repair. Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, schematics reading, and diagnostic instruments such as ohmmeters. Excellent communication skills in English for clear documentation and team collaboration. Demonstrated leadership qualities with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining high standards of safety and quality. Physical ability to perform manual labor including lifting heavy objects, climbing ladders, bending, crawling in tight spaces, and standing for extended periods.
