Available Introduction Stelvio are working with a client that delivers technology solutions supporting transportation and roadside operations. They are looking for a Maintenance Technician to join their field operations team, helping maintain and support critical tolling and roadside systems. This is a hands-on role responsible for preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, and operational support of a wide range of electronic, networking, and roadside technology equipment. The position is based in Lisle and includes participation in a rotating 24/7 on-call schedule. The Role You will be responsible for maintaining, installing, configuring, and troubleshooting a variety of roadside and tolling technologies, including: Linux and Windows-based PCs Video cameras, lighting systems, and image collection controllers RFID readers and radio frequency systems Vehicle detection sensors, including inductive loops, treadles, and optical separators Local Area Network (LAN) and Wide Area Network (WAN) equipment System Monitoring & Performance Monitor system performance both remotely and on-site Ensure systems operate within established performance specifications Identify and implement performance improvements where appropriate Service & Maintenance Deliver responsive field and remote support for assigned equipment Participate in a rotating on-call schedule to provide after-hours support Perform scheduled preventative maintenance activities Support operational project requirements and client needs Maintain a strong focus on safety and operational reliability Education & Experience Degree or diploma in Electronics is considered an asset but is not required Military electronics training or related technical experience considered equivalent Combination of relevant training and hands-on technical experience Preferred Experience Toll collection systems Military electronics environments such as avionics or communications systems PC and server maintenance RFID systems Security and surveillance systems Work Environment Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions, including extreme conditions when required Ability to pass motor vehicle record and background checks Ability to work at heights up to 40 feet using ladders, bucket trucks, or similar equipment OSHA certifications may be required Ability to participate in a rotating 24/7 on-call schedule Benefits Paid time off, including vacation, sick leave, and bereavement leave Health and dental coverage Retirement plans Employee and Family Assistance Program (EFAP) Employee referral program
