Pool Technician

Duties Perform routine pool cleaning tasks including skimming debris, vacuuming pool floors, brushing walls, and cleaning filters to maintain optimal water quality. Conduct regular inspections of pool equipment such as pumps, filters, and chlorinators; perform minor repairs or notify maintenance teams for more complex issues. Balance pool chemicals to ensure safe water chemistry levels, adhering to safety standards and company guidelines. Use hand tools and power tools to troubleshoot equipment issues and carry out maintenance or repairs efficiently. Maintain detailed logs of cleaning activities, chemical levels, and equipment status for record-keeping and quality assurance purposes. Assist with opening and closing pools seasonally or as needed, ensuring all safety protocols are followed during these procedures. Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client questions or concerns professionally during visits. Skills Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to understand pool systems and troubleshoot equipment problems. Experience with equipment repair using hand tools and power tools; familiarity with basic plumbing or electrical repairs is a plus. Knowledge of pool maintenance techniques including chemical balancing, cleaning procedures, and safety standards. Ability to operate various pool cleaning devices such as robotic cleaners, vacuums, and skimmers efficiently. Service technician experience or background in maintenance roles enhances your ability to perform repairs swiftly. Excellent attention to detail combined with good physical stamina for outdoor work in varying weather conditions. Effective communication skills for interacting with clients and team members professionally.

Pay:

$15.00 - $18.00 per hour
