Position Description:

Seeking a skilled Facility Maintenance Technician II for a contract-to-hire opportunity at a manufacturing facility in Tallapoosa, Georgia. This role involves performing preventive maintenance, repairs, and general building maintenance activities to ensure optimal facility operations. Responsibilities include conducting equipment checks, troubleshooting electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems, and supporting maintenance tasks across the site. The technician will work independently and as part of a team, utilizing various lifts and tools, with a focus on safety, efficiency, and quality. The role requires flexibility to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and in various weather conditions, supporting weekend coverage rotation.

Key responsibilities include: Performing preventive maintenance following written instructions and completing work orders in CMMS.

Conducting repairs on pumps, valves, electrical and pneumatic devices, lighting, walls, doors, flooring, and plumbing systems.

Using electrical meters, megger, amp clamps (480V and below systems).

Operating lifts, forklifts, cranes, and hoists safely.

Ensuring work areas and tools are organized and compliant with 5S & COP standards.

Responding promptly to equipment downtime and supporting ongoing maintenance needs.

Carrying tools, supplies, and materials on-site and to elevated work areas.

Maintaining safety and adherence to policies during all activities.

Top Requirements:
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant maintenance experience in an industrial setting.
  • Strong general mechanical, electrical, and plumbing aptitude.
  • Ability to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain facility equipment effectively.
  • Proficiency in reading blueprints and system specifications.
  • Knowledge of CMMS for work orders and maintenance documentation.
  • Ability to work on teams and independently, managing priorities efficiently.
  • Willingness to work overtime, including weekends, holidays, and in harsh weather conditions.
  • Valid driver's license and US citizenship.
  • HS diploma or GED; vocational/trades schooling preferred.
