We are currently seeking an experienced and dependable Maintenance Technician to join our team at a 132-unit apartment community. This is a full-time position for someone who is knowledgeable, hardworking, professional, and committed to maintaining a safe and well-kept community for our residents. The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for completing general maintenance, repairs, preventative maintenance, and apartment turns while responding to resident service requests in a professional and timely manner. Key Responsibilities Diagnose and complete HVAC repairs and maintenance Complete apartment turns and prepare vacant units for new residents Perform plumbing repairs, including faucets, toilets, drains, and other common plumbing issues Complete drywall/sheetrock repairs, patching, and other interior repairs Perform basic electrical repairs and troubleshooting Complete general carpentry, hardware, appliance, and interior repairs as needed Respond to resident work orders and maintenance requests in a timely and professional manner Perform preventative maintenance throughout the property Assist with grounds cleanup and maintaining the overall appearance of the community Inspect units and common areas for maintenance or safety concerns Maintain tools, equipment, maintenance areas, and supplies in an organized manner Communicate with the Property Manager regarding completed work, outstanding repairs, and maintenance needs Follow all company policies and applicable safety procedures Provide professional and courteous service when interacting with residents, vendors, and team members Perform other maintenance-related duties as assigned Required Qualifications Minimum of 1 year of apartment, residential, or similar maintenance experience HVAC certification Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record Working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, drywall, and general property maintenance Ability to troubleshoot maintenance issues and determine appropriate repairs Ability to work independently and manage multiple work orders and priorities Dependable, punctual, and able to complete assigned tasks efficiently Strong communication and customer service skills Willingness to learn and continue developing maintenance skills Ability to perform the physical duties associated with apartment maintenance What We're Looking For We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work and understands the importance of maintaining residents' homes and the overall community.
