Job Description

Work Shift:
Under general supervision, performs the necessary duties to maintain the plant operation systems. Responsibilities include analyzing existing programs to detect areas of improvement and operation and maintenance of boiler and HVAC systems. The Maintenance Mechanic II performs a variety of duties relating to the maintenance and upkeep of facilities and grounds. Included in these duties are accomplishing electrical repairs and troubleshooting; making small plumbing repairs; doing basic carpentry; and maintaining maintenance vehicles. Responsible to the Facilities Manager and will perform any and all other duties assigned.
Education & Training:
High School graduate or GED equivalent.
Experience:
Three (3) years experience in a healthcare facility and/or building maintenance (or related); or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities for this position.
Required Certification/Registration/Licensure:
Valid Georgia driver's license. Acceptable MVR history to meet and maintain insurance requirements must be met in order to drive HHC vehicles. CPT training within 9 months of hire.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Utilizes a variety of equipment to include grinder, drill press, pressure washer, generator, band saw, power and hand tools, hospital vehicles, and some medical equipment.
