Maintenance Technician Job Description We are seeking a dedicated Maintenance Technician for 1st and 2nd shifts in Dewitt, Iowa. This role is crucial in ensuring the smooth operation of maintenance activities and involves close coordination with the production team to manage materials, time, and resources effectively for both preventive and corrective maintenance tasks. Responsibilities Coordinate with the production team to plan and execute maintenance activities. Perform troubleshooting and maintenance on pumps, motors, hydraulics, PLCs, machining, mechanics, furnaces, and combustion equipment. Conduct preventive maintenance and repairs, ensuring optimal functionality of equipment. Assist in the development of capital projects, budgets, and financial planning. Analyze project requirements and follow up on current jobs, providing troubleshooting support. Determine contractor needs based on workload and manage building/property maintenance schedules. Support the Total Maintenance Program and adhere to safety job planning requirements. Apply lean principles to achieve organizational goals and results. Essential Skills 2-5 years of maintenance work experience. Basic knowledge of hydraulics/pneumatics, machining, electrical systems, automation, drives, and welding. Troubleshooting skills. Understanding of PLCs, mechanics, furnaces, and combustion equipment. Additional Skills & Qualifications Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.). Strong planning, organizational, and analytical skills. Ability to work independently and within a team setting. Project management skills. Knowledge of safety protocols such as Lockout/Tagout, fall protection, confined spaces, and PPE. Why Work Here? Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $32.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
