Job Description

Your Job Guardian Glass is looking for a Maintenance Technician at our DeWitt, IA plant. Maintenance Technicians are responsible for ensuring that plant equipment and facilities are kept in good electrical/mechanical repair and working order, enabling a continuous production mode. Hours of Operation The facility operates on a multi-shift schedule to maintain continuous production. Both 10-hour and 12-hour shifts are utilized. Specific shift assignments will be determined at the time of hire based on operational needs and may include days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
Pay:

  • Troubleshoot, identify, and perform corrective and preventive maintenance on electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
  • Use electrical test equipment as needed for troubleshooting and repairs.
  • Troubleshoot programmable logic controllers (PLCs), electronic boards, and instrumentation, including both pneumatic and electronic systems.
  • Diagnose equipment issues by interpreting and working from engineering drawings, blueprints, schematics, and manufacturer documentation.
  • Demonstrate flexibility to provide limited, occasional support across other shifts in support of 24/7 operations, as needed. Who You Are (Basic Qualifications):
  • Experience in industrial electrical maintenance within an industrial, military, agricultural, or manufacturing environment
  • Basic computer skills, including experience using Microsoft Office applications What Will Put You Ahead (Preferred Qualifications):
  • Two or more years of industrial electrical maintenance experience in an industrial, military, agricultural, or manufacturing environment
  • Experience installing, troubleshooting, and repairing industrial equipment
  • Experience reading and interpreting electrical and mechanical machine drawings
  • Experience working with electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems in an industrial environment
  • Experience troubleshooting Allen-Bradley PLCs and drives
