Maintenance Technician

Apply Now! Maintenance Technician (Property Management) Join a growing property management team supporting residential properties throughout the Iowa City and Cedar Rapids area. This contract-to-hire role offers a path to a long-term career, working on apartment turnovers, preventative maintenance, and tenant service requests. Key Responsibilities Complete apartment turnovers, including drywall, painting, plumbing repairs, cleaning, and general maintenance Respond to tenant work orders and troubleshoot maintenance issues Perform preventative maintenance, inspections, and repairs on residential properties Use a smartphone to manage and update digital work orders Travel between assigned properties to complete maintenance tasks Maintain safe, clean work areas and provide professional customer service Required Qualifications 2+ years of maintenance, construction, facilities, or related experience Experience with drywall repair, painting, plumbing, and general maintenance Ability to troubleshoot and resolve maintenance issues independently Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Basic hand tools required Comfortable using a smartphone for work orders Strong communication, professionalism, and customer service skills Preferred Qualifications Property management or apartment maintenance experience HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, or other trade experience Ability to read basic blueprints or technical diagrams Strong attention to detail and adaptability Why Join? Work Area:
Iowa City and Cedar Rapids (primarily Iowa City) residential properties. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Iowa City, IA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $26.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
