Job Description

Job Summary:
A Maintenance Technician III is responsible for the installation and removal of manufacturing equipment as well as executing preventative and corrective maintenance programs. Serving a key role in the continual improvement and development of the department overall, they are expected to serve as both mentor and role model for level I & II Technicians.
Schedule:
Monday - Friday (8a - 4p)
Responsibilities:
Initiative-taker with a good attitude. Analytical person. Ability to read technical drawings and schematics (electrical & hydraulic). Generate and close out work orders with data including labor hours, equipment maintenance, parts used. Install, Maintain, and troubleshoot relay logic, ladder diagrams, control components, motor starters, limit switches, proximity sensors, solenoids, valve bodies, coils, etc. Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with manufacturing equipment, hydraulic systems, conveyors, material handling systems, etc. Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines. Perform mold changes on presses as required. Excellent organizational skills with a high attention to detail. Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate. Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment. Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment. Ability to take ownership of new arriving equipment, assist in set-up, collaborating with operators to run equipment, & maintain up-keep. Ability to work with Pre-Production Managers/Supervisor with work orders and communication on repairs, progress, and improvement ideas. Ability to work in a team environment and independently. Other duties as Assigned. Qualifications Work with and delegate duties on large projects to contractors, Level I & II Technicians.
Education and Experience:
Highschool diploma or equivalent (Required) Manufacturing experience (Required) 2+ Years of experience performing maintenance in a plastic processing facility (Preferred) 5+ Years of experience working with automated equipment, PLC's (Preferred) 3+ Years of experience with work order management (Preferred) HVAC & Boiler System Experience (Preferred) Industrial maintenance: 5 years (Preferred) Programmable logic controllers: 5 years (Preferred) Mechanical knowledge: 5 years (Required)
Electrical Knowledge:
5 years (Required)
