Job Description

Overview Responsible to perform maintenance duties in the plant including preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, boiler gauge reading, welding, etc. Duties
  • Respond to job orders so that all machines are running properly and effectively
  • Work on preventative maintenance priorities on a daily basis
  • Fill out work orders to track work done in department
  • Respond to radio calls to troubleshoot breakdowns of any and all machinery
  • Communicate with Maintenance Supervisor to inform of needs for outside contractor expertise
  • Fabricate equipment
  • Take readings on boiler gauge and refrigeration
  • Work on and fix hydraulics, belts, pneumatic equipment etc in a safe and efficient manner
  • Use lockout/tagout according to company standards and policies
  • Use a variety of tools (hand tools, power tools, welders, torch, fax, copier, grinder, radio, calipers, dial indicator, etc) in a safe manner to perform essential job duties
  • Be able to physically lift 50 lbs on a daily basis and up to 200 lbs occasionally
  • Work in indoor and outdoor conditions. Work in confined areas and at elevated heights
  • Train Maintenance Technician I on job duties in a proper and safe manner Maintain good personal hygiene, follow GMP's and keep a clean, safe and sanitary work place.
Immediately report any situation that may cause product to be contaminated. Display to the Guard your DFF-issued photo ID whenever entering the premises. Report the loss of this ID card to the supervisor. Do not give your ID card to any other individual. Immediately report to the supervisor any suspicious activity by employees or visitors.
Pay:
$21.00 - $24.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
