Job Title:
Maintenance Mechanic Job Description This position is responsible for performing both industrial machine maintenance and facility/building maintenance to ensure safe and efficient operations throughout the facility. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting abilities and be comfortable working on a variety of production equipment and building systems. Responsibilities Perform preventative, predictive, and corrective maintenance on manufacturing equipment. Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems. Diagnose equipment issues and complete repairs to minimize downtime. Install, modify, and maintain motors, drives, sensors, controls, and other electrical components. Perform routine facility maintenance, including lighting, plumbing, HVAC support, doors, docks, and general building repairs. Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and mechanical drawings. Respond to emergency maintenance requests and equipment breakdowns. Conduct inspections and document maintenance activities. Essential Skills 3+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment. Strong electrical troubleshooting skills, including experience with motors, controls, sensors, and electrical circuits. Solid mechanical aptitude with experience repairing industrial machinery. Experience with pneumatic and hydraulic systems. Ability to read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience performing building and facility maintenance is preferred. Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and maintenance diagnostic equipment. Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple tasks. PLC troubleshooting experience is a plus. Why Work Here? Work Environment The role is based in a PCB (Printed Circuit Board) manufacturing environment, working the 1st shift from 7am-2:30pm, Monday-Friday. The facility is approximately 35,000 sq. ft. and manufactures high-tech circuit boards for industries including aerospace, defense, telecommunications, and medical devices. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Addison, IL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $49920.00 - $66560.00/yr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
