Our Typical Hiring Cycles While departmental needs vary throughout the year based on enrollment and funding, hiring activity often increases around the start of each academic semester: Spring Semester (Classes begin mid-January): Postings begin as early as September. Become an Adjunct Faculty Member Adjunct faculty are part-time instructors who play a vital role in our academic community by delivering quality instruction, assessing student learning, and supporting student growth.
Key Responsibilities Include:
Developing engaging lesson plans, course materials, activities, and assessments. Leveraging instructional technology to support student learning outcomes. Fostering a respectful, inclusive, and encouraging classroom environment. Meeting administrative deadlines, such as submitting attendance and grades. Collaborating with academic colleagues to support student success and regional workforce needs. Minimum Experience Qualifications vary by field. Please review our most common areas for reference: Drivers Safety Instructor Bachelor's degree in business, criminal justice, education, or related field is required. Alternatively, candidates may substitute the degree requirement with a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience. Five years' work experience with the court system required. Two years' supervisory experience required. EMT Paramedic High school diploma or equivalent. Active Illinois Paramedic license in good standing. Must submit to and pass a drug test per hospital regulations. Must provide immunization records (e.g. Covid; Flu) per hospital regulations. Fire Science Technology Associates Degree Illinois State Fire Marshall Fire Fighter III Certification or Advanced Technician Fire Fighter Certification Instructor I Certification Medical Assistant CMA certification (AAMA) OR Registered Nurse (RN) with an active Illinois license. Associates degree in Medical Assistant or related field. 4000 hours of medical assisting and/or nursing experience (2 years) with direct patient contact experience. Nursing Adjunct Master's degree in nursing. Two years' experience in clinical nursing practice. Current RN license in Illinois. Nursing Assistant Program RN License current in the state of Illinois Train the Trainer for BNATP thru IDPH OR Bachelors Degree in Nursing with 4 CEUS of Alzheimer's/Dementia coursework Please attach the following documents when applying: Cover Letter-Yes Resume-Yes References-No Transcripts-Yes Position Details req2219
