• This job is to be a mechanic in a manufacturing environment and service a variety of metal cutting machines and equipment.

Machines include:

Band saws, grinders, milling machines, table saws, forklifts, conveyors, pumps, hydraulics and general building maintenance. This position is to help perform maintenance tasks when machines require preventative maintenance or are in need of repair.

• We are currently looking for both seasoned maintenance mechanics and assistant mechanics.

Hours:

7:00 to 3:30 (1/2 unpaid lunch) Essential Duties and Responsibilities Break down machines to help diagnose machines not operating correctly. Monitor, identify and respond promptly to signs of malfunction in machinery Identify and replace worn or damaged parts in a timely manner. Work with subcontractors (mechanical, electrical, equipment manufactures) as appropriate. Perform routine preventative maintenance. Report directly to Plant Foreman. Need to take direction from Department Supervisors on maintenance needs. Be responsive to shop leadership in planning and repairing plant equipment Use a variety of power and hand tools to perform job functions. Must be willing to work overtime as needed.

Skills Needed:

Must be able to climb a ladder. Work in tight areas around machinery. Must have the ability to read English and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating manuals. Strong mechanical and manufacturing experience. Minimum of 2 years industrial maintenance experience. Ability to walk, stand, and lift heavy objects for an extended amount of time Ability to trouble shoot and disassemble machine components. Basic Electrical skills a plus. Driver's license Overhead Crane operation a plus (will train) Must have a basic set of tools to perform duties. Company provides special and larger tools needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience repairing mechanical systems, gearboxes, motors and controls. Electrical maintenance experience Welding experience Preventative Maintenance experience Forklift repair

Compensation and Benefits:

Full Time position. Pay commensurate with experience $30 to $35 per hour. Health Insurance
