Maintenance Technician - Full-Time Gordon Property Management | Champaign-Urbana Area Gordon Property Management is hiring a full-time Maintenance Technician to join our growing team. If you are dependable, handy, organized, and like seeing what you accomplished at the end of the day, we want to hear from you. We are looking for someone who can troubleshoot problems, complete quality repairs, communicate well with residents, and take ownership of their work. What You'll Do Complete residential maintenance and repair requests Handle basic plumbing, electrical, drywall, painting, carpentry, appliances, doors, locks, and general repairs Assist with turnovers and make-ready work Diagnose problems and determine the best repair solution Communicate professionally with residents and office staff Take clear before-and-after photos Document work performed, materials used, and next steps Keep assigned jobs moving and communicate quickly when something causes a delay Leave homes and work areas clean when the job is finished How You'll Win at GPM Success in this position means: Finish jobs efficiently without sacrificing quality Fix it right the first time whenever possible Keep residents informed Show up when scheduled Accurately track your time Document your work with good notes and photos Stay productive throughout the day Treat residents and their homes with respect Use materials responsibly and avoid unnecessary waste Take ownership until the job is truly complete We don't expect perfection. What We're Looking For Previous maintenance, construction, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliance, or handyman experience preferred Strong troubleshooting skills Comfortable working independently Comfortable using a smartphone and maintenance software Reliable and organized Professional with residents and coworkers Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Able to manage multiple jobs and priorities Team-player attitude HVAC experience is a big plus.
