Job Description

PURPOSE:
To maintain all production equipment, building and surrounding area in a large scale, multi-site commercial laundry. Both day and night shift positions available. Responsibilities and compensation will be based on previous experience.
JOB SUMMARY
Start up & shut down plant machinery each day. Perform safe operation of water heating equipment. Respond to maintenance calls in timely manner. Inspect, diagnose, repair, and test commercial laundry equipment, including: ironers, folders, tunnel washers, conventional washers, and side-loaders. Log parts used for reordering. Perform preventative maintenance on washers, dryers, and other specialty laundry equipment. Customize equipment for laundry processes to improve efficiency, ergonomics, safety, and malfunctionsWork with vendors to repair or install new equipment. Perform lockout/tagout and other safety procedures.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Have excellent attendanceUtilize CMMS system to log all work and perform preventative maintenanceHave advanced knowledge of electrical and mechanical systemsBe able to work individually or assist other team members in troubleshooting and repairsMust be able to operate scissors lift, boom lift, and forklift safelyFollow all company safety rulesBe able to follow directions given by their team lead and/or supervisorFollow all company policies and proceduresPossess and maintain a positive attitudeKeep work area and the company premises safe, clean and organizedBe able to work past the schedule as production issues may arise, or work additional shifts as needed (weekends, evenings, emergency call-ins)Perform any other duties as supervisor/manager sees fit
JOB QUALIFICATIONS AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Be able to stand on feet up to 12 hours a dayMinimum of 1 year experience with laundry production maintenance (Kannegiesser, Jensen, Milnor, Ellis, or equivalent)Sufficient manual dexterity to work on equipmentMust be able to lift and move up to 50lbMust be able to consistently meet physical requirements such as bending, twisting, pushing, and pulling
