Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a proactive and skilled Hotel Maintenance Technician to ensure the seamless operation and upkeep of our hotel facilities. In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining the building's interior and exterior, troubleshooting and repairing mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems, and ensuring all facilities meet safety and quality standards. Your expertise will help create a welcoming, safe, and well-maintained environment for our guests and staff alike. Responsibilities Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on HVAC systems, electrical equipment, plumbing systems, and building interior components to ensure optimal functioning. Troubleshoot and repair mechanical issues using schematics, hand tools, electrical equipment, and specialized diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters. Conduct welding, carpentry, painting, and other facilities maintenance tasks to uphold the hotel's aesthetic standards. Maintain facilities equipment including programmable logic controllers (PLCs), electrical panels, plumbing fixtures, and HVAC units to ensure safety and efficiency. Use Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) to track work orders, schedule maintenance tasks, and document repairs accurately. Supervise or assist with projects involving electrical work, plumbing repairs, or building interior upgrades while adhering to safety protocols. Collaborate with team members to coordinate maintenance activities that minimize guest disruption while ensuring high-quality service delivery. Qualifications Proven experience in facilities maintenance or hotel/industrial repair environments with a strong mechanical knowledge base. Hands-on expertise with electrical work, plumbing system maintenance and repair, HVAC system troubleshooting and repair, welding, carpentry, painting, and general building interior maintenance. Familiarity with schematics, technical manuals, CMMS software, and diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters. Knowledge of Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), electrical equipment repair, maintenance painting techniques, and manufacturing or industrial maintenance practices is highly desirable. Ability to read technical schematics and blueprints accurately for complex repairs. Strong communication skills in English to effectively document work orders and collaborate with team members. Supervisory or leadership experience is a plus for guiding junior staff or overseeing projects.
