Job Description
Maintenance Helper We are seeking a Maintenance Helper for an on-site, full-time temporary position with the opportunity for permanent employment in Glenwood, IL. This entry-level facility maintenance role supports day-shift operations Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM. The position is well suited to someone with at least one year of experience who can assist with routine facility requests and general upkeep tasks in a professional work environment. Daily work may include moving furniture, assembling furniture, changing filters, and checking belts on rooftop units. The role requires basic maintenance knowledge, careful tool handling, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to safety compliance while working with the maintenance team. Temporary contract with opportunity for permanent employment based on performance and business needs. Hourly pay range of $15 to $20, based on qualifications and experience. What You Will Do? Perform entry-level facility maintenance support for a variety of day-shift requests throughout the site. Move furniture as needed to support workspace changes, setup needs, and general facility organization. Assemble furniture accurately and safely according to basic instructions and project requirements. Change filters during routine maintenance tasks to help support building and equipment performance. Check belts on rooftop units and report any concerns that may require additional maintenance attention. Assist with general basic equipment maintenance tasks while following established safety procedures. Your Skills You have at least one year of experience supporting maintenance or similar hands-on facility work. You can follow training instructions and apply basic maintenance procedures in a reliable manner. You handle tools carefully and use them correctly while completing routine maintenance tasks. You follow safety compliance standards and maintain awareness of workplace risks at all times. You demonstrate strong attention to detail when assembling furniture and checking equipment components. You work well with others and contribute effectively as part of a maintenance or facilities team. You can communicate in English at a functional level to support daily work instructions. Interested?
