The Maintenance Technician 1 provides support for routine maintenance and repairs of equipment and machinery. Must keep the facility clean on a regular, scheduled basis in accordance with government regulations, the public health code, and generally accepted food-industry sanitation standards. Must use your own tools.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Support the production assembly area by performing routine maintenance and repairs. Support the production assembly area by performing routine housekeeping and cardboard baler responsibilities, including recycling, repair, and cardboard exchange. Troubleshoot issues to determine necessary repairs. Perform general repairs, including repairing drywall, painting, and repairing doors and other building fixtures. Perform routine maintenance on building systems. Clean and assist with the upkeep of the facilities. Perform other related duties as assigned. Cultural fit that embodies the company's core values. Work Experience Requirements:
Must have a high school diploma or GED. Must have experience operating a stand-up lift truck. Must successfully pass the HF lift truck certification course. Must have experience repairing pneumatic conveyor lines, electric taper machines, and shrink wrap machines/ovens. Must be able to make sound judgments and efficiently perform tasks. Must have integrity and show a high degree of respect for others. Must be able to work weekends when necessary. Ability to provide your own basic hand tools is preferred.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards. Must be able to complete the "essential job functions" with "reasonable accommodations" and meet all the mandatory qualifications under the ADA guidelines. Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. Must be able to perform essential physical activities such as lifting, climbing, standing, stooping, or typing. Must be able to talk, listen, and speak clearly on the telephone.
