Pool Service Technician

Northwest Suburbs Pay:
$18
•28 per hour, based on experience Full-Time Seasonal Position | Overtime Likely | Weekly Pay Cary Pools is hiring Pool Service Technicians for our busy fall pool closing season. This is a hands-on, outdoor position primarily focused on closing and winterizing residential swimming pools throughout the northwest Chicago suburbs . We are looking for dependable people who work hard, learn quickly, and are comfortable working outdoors and using basic tools. Previous pool experience is preferred, but not required for the right person. We can train you. What You'll Do Close and winterize in-ground and above-ground swimming pools Blow out and plug pool plumbing lines Winterize pumps, filters, heaters, chlorinators, and other pool equipment Install pool covers Drain water to appropriate winter levels when required Handle pumps, hoses, air blowers, tools, chemicals, and pool equipment Assist with basic service and equipment-related work as needed Drive or ride in company service vehicles between customer locations Keep vehicles, equipment, and job sites organized Work efficiently with another technician or as part of a small crew What We're Looking For Reliable and able to show up on time every day Comfortable working outdoors in changing fall weather Able to perform physical work throughout the day Able to lift approximately 50+ lbs when needed Experience using hand tools and power equipment Good attention to detail Willing to learn proper pool winterization procedures Valid driver's license required Pool, plumbing, mechanical, landscaping, construction, HVAC, or other hands-on experience is a plus Schedule This position is primarily for our fall pool closing season and is expected to last approximately 3 months . Full-time hours Monday-Friday with additional hours as workload requires Overtime is likely during peak closing season Seasonal work is weather and workload dependent Opportunity for continued work may be available for strong employees Pay & Benefits $18
•28/hour depending on experience and ability Overtime pay when applicable Paid weekly every Friday Company vehicles provided for service routes All specialized pool equipment and tools provided On-the-job training available About Cary Pools Cary Pools is a local swimming pool service company serving Cary, Crystal Lake, Lake in the Hills, Algonquin, Barrington, McHenry, Lake Zurich, Huntley, and surrounding northwest Chicago suburbs. Our fall season is fast-paced. We close a large number of pools in a relatively short period, so we're looking for people who can work hard, stay organized, and keep moving while still doing the job correctly. This is a good fit for someone who enjoys hands-on work, being outdoors, working with mechanical equipment, and having something different to do at each job instead of standing in the same place all day.
