This applies to procedures such as extractions, wisdom teeth removal, bone grafting, and related oral surgery services. IV Sedation with Surgical Procedures When IV sedation is performed in conjunction with surgical treatment, the Oral Surgeon receives the applicable 40%-45% of collected sedation fees, which are billed in 15-minute increments. Sedation-Only Cases When the Oral Surgeon provides IV sedation while another provider performs the dental treatment, compensation is generally a flat $2,500-$3,000 per session, depending on the length and complexity of the case.
