Job Description

PURPOSE AND PERFORMANCE GOALS
Maintenance of all equipment and physical structures in compliance with corporate/franchise standards, local, state and national codes and regulations to protect the asset, guests and employees, to ensure optimum operations, minimize expenses, and maximize guest satisfaction.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Essential duties and responsibilities include the following (other duties may be assigned): Performs maintenance of boilers, pumps, refrigeration, mechanical and electrical equipment through a scheduled maintenance program. Assists with training and acting as a resource for Engineer Trainees. Maintains accurate records of various logs and meter readings. Excellent customer service skills

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
High School, Jr. College, College, Trade School or GED At least 3 to 5 years of maintenance experience required in hospitality or associated field
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Must be able to communicate clearly with guests, customers, supervisors and fellow employees.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Must be able to calculate amounts and apply basic addition, subtraction and multiplication.
REASONING ABILITY
Must be able to analyze invoice data to make appropriate judgments regarding maintenance duties
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Certificates or equivalent in electrical, heating/air conditioning, HVAC-R, carpentry, plumbing, refrigerant recovery/handling preferred. C.F.C. Certificate preferred.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Practice written safety standards and rules at all times. Job frequently requires walking, sitting, kneeling, crouching, and standing. Frequently requires reaching, grabbing, pulling, and grasping. HOURS Due to the business demands of the hospitality industry, and the fact that the hotel provides guest services 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, any employee may be required to work rotating shifts, including weekends and night shifts.
