Maintenance Technician Job Description The Maintenance Technician supports operations in a high-tech, automated warehouse environment by maintaining and troubleshooting robotic forklifts, palletizing arms, conveyor systems, and racking infrastructure. This role combines mechanical and electrical work with real-time problem solving in a fast-paced, technology-driven setting. Responsibilities + Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on robotic forklifts, palletizing arms, conveyor systems, and racking systems to ensure optimal uptime. + Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and PLC -related issues across automated systems to quickly identify root causes and restore functionality. + Monitor automated system performance, respond promptly to system alerts or faults, and take corrective action in real time. + Collaborate with remote support and engineering teams to resolve complex technical issues and implement long-term solutions. + Maintain accurate and detailed logs of maintenance activities, repairs, system adjustments, and updates. + Support the installation, commissioning, and upgrade of automation equipment and systems as needed. + Follow and enforce safety protocols, lockout/tagout procedures, and operational standards to maintain a safe working environment. + Inspect racking infrastructure and automated equipment regularly to identify wear, damage, or potential failures. + Assist in optimizing maintenance schedules and procedures to improve system reliability and performance. + Communicate equipment status, issues, and progress clearly to supervisors, teammates, and support staff.
