Job Description

Job Overview The Maintenance Utility position is responsible for maintaining/repair of equipment and structures within MCS owned areas along with the care and appearance of the MCS Facilities above and below ground. This includes working to keep clean and in good order, Warehouse infrastructure, docks, floors, walkways, roadways, office areas, safety equipment, racking, painted surfaces and mobile equipment. The Maintenance/Utility position will also be required to assist with Facility projects as required.
Principal Duties, Responsibilities and Skills:
Operate equipment such as sweeper, scrubber, company vehicle, sit down forklift, man lift (both boom and platform). Be able to operate and install all attachments to forklifts and other equipment. In-depth maintenance of forklifts both electric and fuel powered including oil changes, tire repair, lighting repair, hydraulic repair, battery changing, general pm service, etc. Basic knowledge of and repair of facility items such as, overhead door, dock plates, roadways, lighting, plumbing, all types of warehouse racking, rock roof repair/drainage, mobile equipment and industrial batteries and how to maintain them. Perform warehouse inspections, looking for and recognizing pest issues, damaged products and policy issues. Perform monthly/weekly checks of fire extinguishers, temperatures and humidity. Clean and maintain break areas, warehouse areas, office areas, and dock areas. Able use brooms, mops, and dusters. Dump trash hoppers, general cleanup and lifting personnel with man basket attached. Perform and lead projects such as rack repair, building and removal of racking etc. Grounds maintenance use of spray equipment, mowing, power washer and personnel carriers. Able to work with minimal supervision to complete tasks in the warehousing facilities underground, warehouses above ground, and engine room area or truck parking. Able to operate a forklift on docks in a safe manner to fill in if needed for production. Keep record of maintenance work done (work orders), pm service logs, recording pm hours and generate work orders for equipment pm service. Basic carpentry skills Basic plumbing skills Basic knowledge of and assist with refrigeration systems, items such as air handlers, electric defrost, air defrost and warm brine defrost, dehumidifiers, ammonia reciprocating compressors and brine pumps. Able to respond to "Call in" on a limited basis. Complete work following all safety/company policies. May perform other duties.
Pay:
$20.65 - $24.25 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 - 45.0 per week
