Maintenance Mechanic II Hanover Park, IL $34.50 - $45.00/hour + Shift Differential + Overtime Opportunities 1st, 2nd & 3rd Shift opportunities available About the Opportunity A leading manufacturing and production organization is seeking an experienced Maintenance Mechanic II to join its operations team. This role is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing complex production equipment in a fast-paced industrial environment. If you enjoy diagnosing mechanical and electrical issues, working with advanced manufacturing equipment, and keeping operations running efficiently, we'd like to hear from you. What You'll Do Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on production machinery and equipment Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems Respond quickly to equipment breakdowns and production issues Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, technical drawings, and wiring diagrams Repair and maintain machinery such as conveyors, presses, folders, bindery equipment, and related production systems Perform precision alignments, measurements, and equipment calibrations Fabricate or repair parts using machine shop equipment and welding tools when needed Follow all safety programs, including Lockout/Tagout, OSHA, and Hazardous Materials procedures Partner with production teams to minimize downtime and improve equipment reliability Qualifications Required 3+ years of industrial maintenance, maintenance mechanic, or maintenance technician experience Strong troubleshooting skills in mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems Experience maintaining manufacturing or production equipment Ability to read technical manuals, blueprints, and electrical schematics Knowledge of OSHA regulations, Lockout/Tagout procedures, and industrial safety standards Ability to work independently on overnight shift Preferred Experience with printing, packaging, converting, bindery, or high-speed manufacturing equipment Welding and fabrication experience Machine shop experience with lathes, milling machines, drill presses, or grinders Advanced electrical troubleshooting abilities Compensation & Benefits Competitive hourly pay: $34.50 - $45.00/hour Shift differential opportunities Overtime available Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance 401(k) with company match Paid Time Off Life and Disability Insurance Tuition Assistance Employee Discount Programs Additional voluntary benefits Apply Today If you're a hands-on maintenance professional who thrives in a manufacturing environment and enjoys solving complex equipment challenges, apply today to learn more about this confidential opportunity in the Hanover Park area.
