Job Description

Industrial Maintenance Technician Job Description:
Custom Aluminum Products, a large custom aluminum extrusion manufacturer with locations in South Elgin and Genoa, IL is accepting applications for an industrial maintenance technician in our South Elgin, IL location for 1st Shift and 2nd Shift . Experience in PLC's, CNC troubleshooting and repair as well as industrial electrical knowledge is preferred.
Duties include:
  • Preventative maintenance to ensure operation of large array of machinery including extrusion presses, punch presses, CNC machines and mechanical equipment. Familiar with motors, pneumatic tools, pumps, conveyor systems, and production machinery.
  • Able to operate machines, adjust controls and observe mechanical operations in order to troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical problems and determine how to correct them. Familiar with use of precision measuring and testing instruments, able to read and understand blueprints, electrical schematics, repair and operation manuals.
  • Assemble, install and/or repair wiring, electrical and electronic components, pipe systems, plumbing, machine and industrial equipment.
  • Install, replace and change machine parts according to specifications.
  • Install pipe and conduit, size wire and electrical components for equipment service hook up.
  • Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic troubleshooting and repair.
  • Forklift and HVAC repair experience a plus.
  • Bilingual a plus but not required.
Desired Skills/Qualifications:
Multi craft Equipment Maintenance Skills, 5S, Basic Safety, Power Tools and desire to work in a team environment. Experience in industrial electrical work is necessary. $24.00 - $36.00 per hour
