Manufacturing Engineering & Maintenance Technician 📍 Northern Illinois Area 🕒 Full-Time | On-Site A well-established manufacturing company with decades of experience in electrical assemblies and wire processing is seeking a Manufacturing Engineering & Maintenance Technician to join its production team. This organization specializes in high-quality electrical wiring harnesses, cable assemblies, wire processing, and box build solutions for OEM customers across the United States. The company operates in a quality-driven manufacturing environment and maintains ISO-certified standards. Key Responsibilities Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair manufacturing equipment to maximize operational efficiency Perform preventative maintenance and maintain maintenance schedules Diagnose equipment malfunctions and implement corrective actions Support continuous improvement and process optimization initiatives Collaborate with production, engineering, and quality teams to improve manufacturing operations Ensure compliance with workplace safety and quality standards Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and equipment manuals Qualifications Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting and repair experience Hands-on experience with preventative maintenance in a manufacturing environment Understanding of manufacturing tools, equipment, and production processes Ability to interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical documentation Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and time management skills Experience working in
ISO 9001
2015 or similar quality-controlled environments preferred Familiarity with maintenance tracking or scheduling software Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment High school diploma or GED required Associate degree or technical certification in a related field preferred Experience in electrical wiring, cable assembly, or related manufacturing industries is a plus
