Maintenance Mechanic Compensation reaching $42 per hour, determined by your professional experience. We are currently seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic to join our food production facility. This role offers an immediate start and includes a robust benefits package provided directly by the employer. Core Responsibilities In this role, you will be responsible for the installation, upkeep, and repair of industrial machinery while strictly adhering to all safety regulations. We are seeking candidates who are physically adept and possess a strong background in mechanical systems to support our production environment. Execute repairs and routine maintenance on diverse equipment to ensure the facility meets all quality benchmarks. Utilize technical documentation and manuals to effectively diagnose and resolve equipment issues. Draft detailed sketches and schematics for components that need to be replaced or fixed. Help optimize overall equipment efficiency by researching and recommending modern spare parts and mechanical upgrades. Calculate the projected expenses for necessary repair services and replacement components. Work Location and Schedule This position is based in University Park, IL. We have immediate openings across all three shifts, with overtime opportunities available.
First shift:
Start times between 6:00 AM and 9:00 AM.
Second shift:
Start times between 3:00 PM and 5:00 PM.
Third shift:
Start times between 11:00 PM and 1:00 AM. Required Qualifications Minimum of four years of professional experience in a maintenance mechanic capacity. Prior background working within a food manufacturing environment is highly desirable. Completion of high school or an equivalent educational credential. Strong capabilities in both written and verbal communication. Proven ability to work effectively within a team-oriented environment. Proficiency in reading and writing the English language. Demonstrated expertise in troubleshooting electrical and mechanical systems to ensure operational uptime. Solid understanding of industrial safety protocols and regulatory requirements. Ability to accurately interpret technical schematics and blueprints. Foundational experience working with Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) systems.
