This role is a great opportunity to join a skilled, supportive team dedicated to high-quality work and the larger mission of the forest preserve. This position is responsible for performing a wide range of duties related to the installation, maintenance, and repair of various elements within the district preserves including turf, roads, parking lots, streams, trails and landscaping. Compensation $26.65 to $30.00 per hour, depending on experience. Experience operating skid steers, front loaders and asphalt stripping highly desired. Current IL Dept. of Agriculture Pesticide Operator's License preferred. This position works in a variety of different settings and will require travel throughout the district. Schedule Schedule is Monday - Friday 6:45 am to 2:45 pm. Key Qualifications Must be 18 years of age or older at the time of hire. 1-3 years of related experience in maintenance duties and operation of machinery and equipment. Valid Driver's License in good standing; Class C Driver's License required within (6) months in good standing.
