The Maintenance Technician supports manufacturing operations by maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing automated production equipment throughout the facility. This role works closely with production, engineering, and maintenance teams to reduce downtime, resolve equipment issues, and improve overall equipment reliability.
WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on automated manufacturing machinery and production equipment. Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical equipment failures and restore equipment to operation. Diagnose issues involving motors, gearboxes, conveyors, sensors, photo eyes, pneumatics, and other machine components. Troubleshoot PLC-controlled equipment, VFDs, drives, and automated systems. Work with industrial electrical systems, including 480V three-phase equipment. Read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, prints, and technical documentation. Perform equipment startups, setups, adjustments, and repairs as needed. Complete preventive maintenance activities and accurately document completed work. Partner with engineering and production teams to resolve equipment issues and implement machinery improvements. Identify recurring equipment problems and support improvements to preventive and predictive maintenance programs. Follow proper LOTO procedures and all plant health, safety, and environmental standards. Maintain organized tools, parts, and work areas.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
High school diploma or GED required. Industrial or manufacturing maintenance experience strongly preferred. Hands-on experience troubleshooting and repairing automated production equipment. Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills. Experience with motors, gearboxes, conveyors, sensors, pneumatics, and industrial electrical systems. Experience with PLC-controlled equipment and VFDs preferred. Experience working with 480V three-phase electrical systems preferred. Ability to read electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and technical documentation. Experience performing preventive and corrective maintenance. Robotics, automated assembly, packaging, or molding equipment experience is a plus. Ability to work independently during equipment breakdowns and effectively determine when additional support is needed.
