Maintenance Technician
COMPANY OVERVIEW
SpectronRx is a growing Contract Development and Manufacturing Organization (CDMO) based in Indianapolis, Indiana, and production locations in South Bend, IN; Bunker Hill, IN; and Danbury, CT with plans for additional future production facilities. We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to join our growing company. The Maintenance Technician will oversee the completion of the day-to-day activities involving the maintenance and repairs of the buildings/facilities and equipment including electrical, plumbing, heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC), groundskeeping, security, overall facility appearance, and other building systems.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Oversees the day-to-day activities involving maintenance of SpectronRx facilities and equipment. Evaluates systems and facilities to determine what maintenance or repairs need to be performed. Direct the work of contractors to ensure daily maintenance, repair, and cleanliness of facilities. Perform timely repair and preventative maintenance schedules for the facilities and equipment. Ensures maintenance and repair work is completed correctly and in a timely manner. Collaborate with site-management and HR on building safety, security, and emergency preparedness efforts. Set a consistent example for others in management effectiveness, leadership style, communication and integrity Performs other related duties as assigned. Maintain/make minor repairs to clean rooms and their essential equipment. Perform light electrical, plumbing, drywall and paint repairs/maintenance. Build, place, move and install office furniture, etc. Maintain all aspects of the interior and exterior of the building. Performs other related duties as assigned. Physical Ability
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time and stand for prolonged periods. Attention to Detail

TRAVEL Regular travel between SpectronRx facilities is required on an as needed basis.
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or equivalent education required. 3-5 years of related maintenance experience Extensive knowledge of building systems such as plumbing, electrical, and HVAC. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to identify issues and determine repairs that are needed. Ability to plan maintenance schedules. Excellent management and supervisory skills. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software. Thorough understanding of project management. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. cGMP experience required along with an understanding of FDA regulatory requirements.
PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Electrical, HVAC, Plumbing and General Carpentry a plus Construction knowledge/background is preferred. Ability to train and be trained
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Valid Indiana driver's license. Pass a Background Check. Prolonged periods of standing, walking, bending, and lifting. Work a variety of hours (days, evenings, nights, weekends).
