Floor Care Specialist are valuable members of our health care team who work to ensure that the facility is maintained in a clean, safe, and comfortable manner and to ensure that an adequate supply of linen and resident personal clothing is on hand at all times to meet the needs of the residents.

Role:
Vermillion Convalescent Center is seeking Floor Care Specialist to - Perform routine and project-based floor care, including sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, buffing, and burnishing of all hard surface floors in accordance with facility standards Maintain carpeted areas through vacuuming, spot cleaning, and extraction as needed to ensure a clean and presentable environment Operate and maintain floor care equipment, including auto scrubbers, buffers, and extractors, ensuring proper use and storage at all times Ensure all floor care chemicals and supplies are used in compliance with safety protocols and manufacturer guidelines Maintain work areas in a clean, safe, and hazard-free condition, utilizing appropriate caution signage during floor care procedures Follow established floor care schedules and complete assigned tasks within designated timeframes Ensure all equipment, tools, and supply carts are properly cleaned, maintained, and stored after use Identify and report any flooring issues, maintenance needs, or safety concerns to leadership promptly About you: The ideal candidate would have the following skills and experience: Completion of elementary education or otherwise show ability to read, write and follow oral and written directions in English. Ability to read and write in English, ability to communicate with residents, families, personnel and support agencies and ability to remain calm under stress. Bending, lifting, walking, grasping, fine hand coordination, ability to distinguish smell, taste and temperatures, ability to hear and respond to pages.
