Job Description

Job Summary:
The Pipe Fitter/Fabricator Maintenance Technician is responsible for constructing and fabricating in-house piping systems and structural equipment under the direction of the Day Shift Maintenance Supervisor. This role ensures high-quality fabrication and timely repairs to support plant operations.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings. Fit and install piping systems based on prints and self-taken measurements. Layout piping and structural components accurately. Order piping, fittings, steel, and other materials required for jobs. Safely operate equipment such as forklifts, cranes, and boom lifts. Diagnose and repair broken machines quickly and efficiently. Prepare detailed reports documenting work performed and materials used. Maintain clean, organized, and well-stocked shop areas, including tools and supplies. Collaborate with the Maintenance Supervisor or Plant Engineer on new product installations and required modifications. Perform other related duties as assigned.
Supervisory responsibilities:
None Required qualifications: Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills. Proven fabrication skills, including blueprint reading, welding, cutting, and fitting. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Excellent communication skills. Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
Education/Certification required:
Technical certificate preferred or minimum of 2 years of pipe fitting/fabrication experience. Physical Requirements; Ability to traverse property and facility on foot. Prolonged periods of standing and walking. Ability to bend, stretch, push, pull, and move as needed to reach, clean, and service machinery. Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds. Must pass a written and hands-on pipe fitting layout and welding test.
Pay:
$25.75 - $31.01 per hour
