Position Summary Our Maintenance Technicians are responsible for maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing company equipment to ensure safe and efficient operations. This role performs preventative maintenance, troubleshoots mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems, and completes repairs on a wide range of production and facility equipment, including extruders, injection molders, grinders, gearboxes, air compressors, and motors. The Maintenance Technician is expected to demonstrate strong safety awareness and uphold company values in all work performed. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical aptitude, hands-on experience with various systems, and a commitment to safety and improvement. Schedule 1. Monday - Friday, day shift, overtime as required. Responsibilities 1. Perform scheduled preventative maintenance and repairs on all extruders, injection molders, grinders, gearboxes, air compressors, and motors. 2. Diagnoses, troubleshoot, and repair hydraulic systems 3. Maintain and service plant support equipment, including cooling towers, air compressors, and chillers 4. Inspect and maintain water system piping and valves to ensure proper function and prevent leaks or failures 5. Perform small to medium fabrication of various equipment. 6. Operate torching and welding equipment as needed for repairs and fabrication 7. Maintain, monitor, and manage spare parts inventory required for facility operations 8. Order parts, enter purchase requests into database, and follow up on order status 9. Maintain accurate records of daily and weekly work, including tracking labor hours in company systems 10. Ensure all work is completed in strict compliance with company safety policies and procedures 11. Keep work areas clean, organized, and safe Qualifications 1. Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician. 2. Strong knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems. 3. Experience with preventative maintenance schedules and equipment servicing 4. Knowledge of welding and torching helpful, but not necessary 5. Experience with facility support systems, such as cooling towers, air compressors, chillers, and water piping/valves, a plus 6. Mathematical and mechanical aptitude 7. Related experience and knowledge of the methods, materials, tools, and techniques used in repairing production and facility equipment 8. Ability to work in shop and field environments 9. Capable of lifting heavy components and working in physically demanding conditions 10. Comfortable working in varying weather and job site conditions 11. Ability to use computers for time tracking, parts ordering, and maintenance records 12. Strong communication skills, effective communicator 13. Proven ability to work alone or in a team setting 14. Attention to accuracy and detail 15.
