We're looking for a hands-on, safety-minded Maintenance Technician who takes pride in solving mechanical and electrical problems and keeping equipment operating at its best. T&B Tube Maintenance Technician Position Summary Ensures operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines; following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications; troubleshooting malfunctions. Essential Duties and Responsibilities The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following: Embraces ACI's 1 T.E.A.M. culture; Trusting, Energetic, Analytical and Mindful. Wear all proper protective equipment as required in work and in accordance with Safety Policy and OSHA standards. Maintain a safe and healthful work environment by practicing safe work habits, good housekeeping procedures and adhering to safety guidelines. Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation; listening for problems; using precision measuring and testing instruments. Removes defective parts by dismantling devices; using hoists, cranes, and hand and power tools; examining form and texture of parts. Determines changes in dimensional requirements of parts by inspecting used parts; using rules, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments. Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments by using hand tools, levels, and straightedges. Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Ability to use computers, read tape measures, micrometers and calipers Dependability in attendance, work completion, and flexibility to meet business needs Able to add, subtract, multiply and divide using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals Ability to work outside normal business hours/days as needed Able to interact effectively with employees at all levels of the company Fabricates repair parts by using machine shop instrumentation and equipment. Conserves maintenance resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results. Provides mechanical maintenance information by interviewing operators, answering questions and requests. Prepares mechanical maintenance reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends. Maintains technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing technical publications; establishing personal networks. Maintains continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs. Education Requirements High school diploma or equivalent, required Industry knowledge and experience, a plus Physical Demands and Work Environment The noise level in the work environment is usually medium to high.
