Industrial Maintenance Technician

Job description SUMMARY Performs a variety of preventative maintenance, troubleshooting and maintenance repair activities. Training time to be proficient is 2 to 4 years.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

(include the following, however, other duties may apply.) Responsible for maintaining equipment and machinery for safe and efficient operation. Installation of new equipment. Builds specialty equipment from drawings and specifications. Performs preventative maintenance checks. Performs major machine overhauls. Able to read and troubleshoot blueprints. Proficient with lathe, mill, welding and sheet metal work. Working knowledge of pipe fitting and plumbing. Knowledge of local electrical codes. Installs and troubleshoots electronic assemblies, motor controls, motors, control panels and circuit boards. Fabricate, test, analyze and adjust precision electromechanical equipment according to blueprints and other specifications. Performs any other duties assigned by supervisor. Active participant in the Goshen Quality System. Qualifications Proficient in English Strong mechanical knowledge Experience in facilities maintenance and troubleshooting Skilled in reading and interpreting schematics Knowledge of plumbing and electrical systems Proficient in welding and sheet metal work (preferred) Familiarity with programmable logic controllers and CMMS Ability to work in a team-oriented setting
