Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and versatile Handyman/Laborer to join our dynamic facilities maintenance team. In this energetic role, you will be responsible for performing a wide range of repair, maintenance, and installation tasks across residential and commercial properties. Your proactive approach and mechanical aptitude will ensure that building interiors, systems, and equipment are kept in optimal condition, supporting a safe, efficient, and welcoming environment. Duties Perform general repairs and maintenance on building interiors, including drywall, painting, carpentry, and plumbing repairs Conduct electrical work such as troubleshooting circuits, repairing electrical equipment, and maintaining electrical systems using schematics and testing tools like ohmmeters Maintain HVAC systems through routine inspections, repairs, and troubleshooting HVAC units to ensure optimal performance Use hand tools and power tools for tasks such as welding, carpentry, plumbing repairs, and mechanical adjustments Assist with facilities equipment maintenance including CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) documentation and scheduling Conduct inspections of plumbing systems, electrical wiring, HVAC units, and other mechanical components to identify issues early Support supervising staff by assisting with project coordination and ensuring safety protocols are followed during maintenance activities Skills Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in plumbing, electrical work, HVAC system repair, welding, and carpentry Proficiency with hand tools, electrical equipment repair tools, schematics reading, and maintenance painting techniques Familiarity with facilities maintenance operations including MRO (Maintenance, Repair & Operations) procedures and CMMS software Ability to interpret technical drawings such as schematics for electrical or mechanical systems Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly in English with team members and clients Experience supervising or leading small teams is a plus; leadership skills are highly valued Knowledge of residential painting techniques and building interior maintenance best practices Ability to troubleshoot using diagnostic tools like ohmmeters and understand plumbing system maintenance and repair processes Basic understanding of electrical safety standards and plumbing codes Join us if you're eager to apply your hands-on skills in a fast-paced environment where your contributions directly impact the safety and functionality of our facilities. Pay:
