Life:
The Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for performing maintenance repairs in a soybean processing facility. They perform routine and preventative maintenance on all equipment in the plant. Electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills required. Work is of a nature where decisions are made within limits and guidelines of general practices and procedures under the direction of the Maintenance Supervisor or Maintenance Manager.

6p-6a or 6a-6p rotating 12-hour shift
Pay:
$34.73 an hour
What You'll Be Doing:
Perform maintenance activities
Problem solve and troubleshoot equipment failure
Perform emergency and preventative mechanical and electrical repairs on all equipment (includes cleaning, lubricating, adjusting parts, equipment and machinery)
Support the production lines and address any abnormal conditions of the machinery
Work with operators to monitor all safety items on the machines and keep them in optimal operating condition
Welding and pipefitting as necessary
Maintain tool inventory, verify all tools and equipment are properly accounted for and stored correctly
Perform other duties and functions as needed
Minimum Qualifications:
Maintenance experience in an industrial environment (3-5 years preferred)
High school diploma or GED
Ability to read and understand blueprints
Knowledge of manufacturing equipment: including pumps, motors, conveyors, air valves, and various power sources
Understanding of basic computer functions
Comfort working in all weather conditions, at heights, in confined spaces, climbing stairs, and lifting up to 50lbs on a regular basis
