Independent Contractor / Per-Job Basis About Us Brown County Vacation Rentals is a growing short-term rental property management company that manages vacation homes throughout Brown County. We take pride in providing our guests with well-maintained, high-quality homes and are looking for a dependable handyman to become our go-to contractor for maintenance needs across our properties. Position Overview We are seeking an experienced and reliable Handyman to perform general maintenance, repairs, and odd jobs at our vacation rental properties. This is a per-job contractor position , and you will be our preferred contact for maintenance work as it arises. The ideal candidate is skilled in a wide variety of handyman tasks, works independently, communicates well, and can respond promptly when maintenance issues occur. Responsibilities Perform general handyman repairs and maintenance. Repair drywall, doors, locks, trim, cabinets, and flooring. Complete basic plumbing repairs (leaks, faucets, toilets, drains, etc.). Perform minor electrical work (switches, outlets, light fixtures, ceiling fans, etc.). Assemble, install, or repair furniture and fixtures. Replace appliances or appliance parts when needed. Perform exterior maintenance and minor property repairs. Troubleshoot maintenance issues and recommend long-term solutions. Coordinate with our property management team regarding completed work and any additional concerns. Preferred Qualifications Proven experience as a handyman or maintenance technician. Knowledge of general plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and home repairs. Experience servicing and troubleshooting hot tubs is highly preferred. Own tools and reliable transportation. Ability to work independently and manage multiple job requests. Strong attention to detail and pride in quality workmanship. Good communication and reliability. Compensation Paid per completed job (rates vary depending on the scope of work). Consistent opportunities for work throughout the year.
