Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY
ICAP is a private, non-profit agency mobilizing private and public sector resources to help low and moderate income people improve their living conditions. The Maintenance position will perform small, odd jobs; experience in general maintenance is preferred.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
High School or GED required Good communication skills for the purpose of ensuring excellent customer service Consent to and successful review of limited criminal history check Consent to and successful review of Bureau of Motor Vehicle check Must have reliable transportation; possess a valid driver's license and vehicle liability insurance
MAJOR DUTIES/FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES
Minor home repairs and necessary upkeep of grounds as needed Coordinates with assigned supervisor for the purpose of completing projects and work orders efficiently Maintains assigned tools and equipment Performs a wide variety of general maintenance activities (e.g. painting, mowing, small repairs, etc.) for the purpose of completing projects within established time frames Transports a variety of tools, equipment and supplies for the purpose of ensuring the availability of materials required at job site Operate mowers, weed eaters, and other small hand tools in a safe manner Other related job duties as assigned by supervisor
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES/OTHER
Ability to communicate, both written and verbally Respectful of program customers and demonstrates excellent customer service Specific skill-based competencies required to satisfactorily perform the functions of the job include: operating equipment such as power and hand tools, etc.; adhering to safety practices; and planning and managing projects
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
The usual and customary methods of performing the job's functions require the following physical demands: lifting up to 50 lbs., carrying, pushing, and/or pulling, and some climbing. Able to work in extreme conditions
SUPERVISION RECEIVED
The Maintenance Worker reports directly to the Executive Director.
