Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-4:30 PM Position Overview The Production Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing manufacturing equipment in a high-volume industrial production environment. This position works closely with production, engineering, quality, and other support teams to keep equipment operating safely, efficiently, and reliably. The technician will diagnose and correct equipment problems involving electrical, mechanical, electromechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and control systems. The role also performs preventive maintenance, corrective repairs, equipment inspections, and coordination of outside services when specialized calibration or repairs are required. This position requires flexibility to work weekends, holidays, overtime, and alternate hours as production demands require. Key Responsibilities Respond promptly to equipment failures and production interruptions to reduce downtime. Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electromechanical equipment. Evaluate equipment issues and determine the safest and most effective repair approach. Prioritize maintenance activities based on safety, equipment reliability, and production requirements. Verify proper equipment operation following repairs, adjustments, or component replacement. Perform equipment inspections, operational checks, alignments, adjustments, and modifications. Interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, manuals, and written or verbal technical instructions. Complete preventive and corrective maintenance assignments within established timelines. Operate testing equipment and document inspection results, measurements, and repair activities. Inspect automated and industrial equipment using established procedures and make necessary adjustments. Assist with identifying recurring equipment problems and participate in troubleshooting and root-cause investigations. Maintain an orderly and safe work area before, during, and after maintenance activities. Work independently when appropriate while collaborating effectively with production and technical teams. Follow company safety procedures, maintenance practices, operating procedures, and quality requirements. Properly use required personal protective equipment and follow applicable workplace safety standards. Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation. Support compliance with applicable manufacturing, quality, safety, and regulatory requirements. Required Qualifications Two-year technical degree in industrial maintenance, electrical systems, electronics, automation, or a related discipline, or equivalent technical training and experience. Relevant military technical training may be considered in place of formal education. At least one year of experience maintaining, troubleshooting, or repairing industrial machinery, automated equipment, or manufacturing systems. Equivalent hands-on maintenance experience may be considered in place of educational requirements. Ability to troubleshoot equipment using technical documentation and electrical/mechanical schematics. Strong mechanical aptitude and familiarity with common hand and power tools. Experience using a multimeter and other electrical or electronic testing instruments. Preferred Technical Experience Experience with one or more of the following is highly desirable: AC/DC electrical systems and power supplies Industrial machinery and automated production equipment PLCs and electrical control systems Sensors, switches, signal wiring, and related components AC/DC motors and motor controls Pneumatic and hydraulic systems Vacuum equipment and systems Servo and other electromechanical systems Equipment calibration Building or facility management control systems Equipment troubleshooting and reverse engineering Root-cause analysis Basic soldering and electronic component repair
