Job Description
Job overview The Maintenance Tech position must demonstrate and promote a strong commitment to providing the best possible experience for our guests and associates. The position is responsible to ensure that all property equipment is functioning, premises are maintained in a pristine condition, and that all guest rooms are in good repair. The position is responsible for ensuring that all tasks outlined by Preventive Maintenance program and as directed by the management team are completed in a timely fashion in accordance with company standards. Reports directly to the General Manager Must be available to work weekends and holidays Maintaining hotel cleanliness during the shift Greets each guest with a smile and greeting Inspect hotel regularly to ensure it meets safety standards Follow IHG Way of Clean Preventative maintenance program in hotel rooms, lobbies and facilities (e.g. kitchens, employee spaces) Organize repair projects in a manner that does not disturb guests Plan and oversee renovations and construction Act fast to resolve emergency issues (e.g. power outages) Find ways to reduce hotel operating costs and conserve energy Manage relationships with contractors and service providers Maintain budgets, expenses and activity logs In-depth knowledge of health and safety regulations Familiarity with plumbing, electrical, sewer and HVAC systems; hotel industry experience is a plus Pool readings and stabilizing experience is also a plus Ability to spot safety risks and address needs quickly Problem-solving aptitude Complete the IHG Standard onboarding training with in the first 90 days Excellent organizational and leadership skills
