Job Description
Maintenance TechnicianScottsburg, IN | Direct Hire | $25-$32/hr, DOE + 1.25
What You'll DoSet up, maintain, test, adjust, and support manufacturing machinery and processes, including dies and molds.
Perform preventative maintenance to catch problems before they cause downtime.
Troubleshoot a wide range of tooling and production equipment.
Coordinate PM tasks with production to minimize downtime while helping the team hit a 90%+ on-time delivery goal.
Support the Maintenance Supervisor and Engineering team on equipment projects and upgrades.
Perform light machining and basic electrical controls repairs as needed.
Assemble, debug, troubleshoot, and maintain tooling.
Order and maintain tooling and replacement parts to keep production running.
What You Bring3-5 years of experience in a technical or manufacturing environment.
Experience as a maintenance or equipment technician.
Ability to read product blueprints.
Electrical experience with proximity sensors, servo motors, production cameras, and PLC programming/troubleshooting — a big plus.
Background in basic machinist skills, die mechanics, bench work, and soldering — a plus.
Comfort with MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).Ability to multitask and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
High school diploma or equivalent required. A 2- or 4-year Electrical, Mechanical, or Manufacturing Engineering/Technical degree is preferred, and a Tool & Die or Electrical Journeyman certification is a plus — relevant experience can supplement or replace formal education.

Shift DifferentialShift:
3rd Shift, Sunday-Thursday, 9:30 PM - 6:00 AM (after a 2-month training period on days, 6:00 AM - 3:30 PM) About the RoleBESTAFF is hiring a Maintenance Technician for a growing manufacturing partner in Scottsburg, IN. You'll keep critical production machinery — including dies and molds — running strong through hands-on troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, and tooling support. After a two-month day-shift training period, you'll move to 3rd shift, where your pay jumps with a 1.25x shift differential on top of your base rate. Add in amazing benefits and a guaranteed annual bonus, and this is a role built to reward the technician who takes pride in keeping the floor moving.
